The Steinberg Systems Precision Paint Thickness Meter is capable of measuring from 0 to 5000 µm with an accuracy of ±2% + 1 µm. The device is capable of working on both straight and curved surfaces. This is thanks to the "V" shaped tip, which provides a minimum measurement area of 20 mm, 5 mm for convex surfaces and 25 mm for concave surfaces.

The tester has many functions, including test mode, measurement method, and measurement unit (μm, mm, mil). The device also allows you to save up to 320 results, and thanks to the mini USB port, keep them on a computer disk. The meter is suitable for temperatures from 0 to 50℃ and humidity of 20-90%.

Operation of the device is simple with convex buttons and a backlit LCD screen. The spring-loaded tester ensures safety when measuring, without the risk of scratching the paint. Completion of the test is announced by an audible signal.

The tester comes with accessories necessary for its proper operation. Among them are a USB cable, a CD with software and calibration plates. With the help of the latter, the user can independently ensure the precise operation of the meter. In addition, a convenient carrying case will make it easier to transport the whole set.

The device is powered by two 1.5V AAA batteries, and a special system shuts down the tester when not in use for 3 minutes to extend battery life.
