The Paint Thickness M eter from Steinberg Systems is an indispensable tool for the automotive trade and the metal and chemical industries. The tester will measure the paint coating of ferromagnetic and non-magnetic materials. The measurement precision is ±2% + 1 μm. LCD panel with backlight function. The result can be stored in memory up to 2000 results. The measurement range is 0-2000 μm. The varnish meter works in 2 modes: with ferromagnets by magnetic induction, and with other materials by eddy current. The minimum measuring area is Ø20 mm. The minimum radius of curvature for convex surfaces is 5 mm, for concave surfaces 25 mm. The whole set is contained in a carrying case. To connect the equipment to a computer, just use a USB cable. Powered by 2 x AAA batteries, the equipment shows reliable results in a temperature range of 0 ~ 50°C and humidity between 20 and 90%.
