The Hillvert So il Moisture Meter will come in handy for monitoring soil moisture levels so that the controller of an automatic irrigation system can stop watering when it is too wet. The device fits most irrigation controllers, especially Hillvert brand models with part numbers 10090184, 10090187 and 10090188. One of three soil moisture levels (25%, 45% and 60%) is set on the meter. When its actual level is higher than the set one, the sensor sends a signal to the controller to turn off the irrigation cycle. The measurement is taken every 60 seconds. The cable for connection to the controller is weatherproof. LED lights simplify operation. The desired humidity level is selected with the appropriate button, which is indicated by the LED lighting. If no changes are made within a minute, the light will turn off, saving the setting.
