Langstroth frames are made of knot-free pine wood, which is both lightweight and dimensionally stable. The high-quality wires are made of stainless steel. They are particularly durable and insensitive to organic acids. Hoffman frames encourage bees to quickly build stable honeycombs for many years. All you have to do is remove residues of honey, wax and propolis and eliminate germs with a flame or caustic soda. Then a new knot should be attached to the wire. A beekeeping frame has a knot made of 100% wax. Thus, honeycomb frames can be added directly to the hive. The frames provide easy hanging and detaching.
