Steinberg Systems' pyrometer works well wherever fast and precise temperature measurements are needed. It can be used at home (for example, when cooking, baking, grilling), as well as in professional activities. With the device, readings from -50 to 1300°C can be recorded, giving consumers a huge collection of objects suitable for testing. An alarm will sound if the permissible values are exceeded. The equipment has a data logging option. Automatic shutdown deactivates the device after 10 s of non-use, saving battery life. The temperature conversion function converts °C to °F. In addition, the thermometer has an emissivity adjustment function - from 0.1 to 1 - which increases accuracy for objects with different surface types.

The result obtains an accuracy of ±2°C or ±2%. The described model allows to obtain a measurement at a distance - the operator does not have to touch the object in question. This significantly reduces the risk when testing very hot surfaces or corrosive substances. The distance ratio is 16:1, which determines the higher accuracy of measurements taken from a distance. It is not used to measure human body temperature.
